Art Up Close

In 2010 a group of Artists in South Cheshire got together to set up an Arts festival to showcase local Artists work. In June 2011 Nantwich Festival of Arts was put on in Nantwich town centre over 3 days, showcasing a wide variety of visual and performance Arts.

Following on from the success of this venture Art Up Close was formed to act as a hub for quality Artists. We now number over 100 Artists.

Our  partnership with Crewe Hall has provided an exhibition area in the contemporary side of the award winning hotel to showcase our Artwork throughout the year.

We have developed  partnerships with local government and business that is enabling us to use our core of Community Artists to engage in exciting Artist led projects in the community. Between us our skill set ranges from working with children of varying ability and disability to both vulnerable and senior adults providing  workshops in a variety of disciplines.

BAD EDIT

is a team that helps creative people,  to showcase their talents.

We opened our first venue in Stoke in August. Here will will put on shows, have events and allow creatives to come in and do their thing.

Our in house moto is "don't dictate, facilitate" which basically means, you are the creative one, so you can decide how you wanna do things and we will help you do that.

We also do events at universities and over the next year, our aim is to get an event at every major university in the country.

Be Creative Together.

The Lucky Jotter is a mixed media art showcase aiming to promote and show the work of emerging artists. It is an independent organisation founded by Joseph Pegler and a small team of changing artists. The photographs are part of an ongoing series of low light night photography of rural and urban landscapes which started in autumn 2011.

The night is a fantastic tool - it strips everything recognisable away and if it reveals details, it is only partial. You feel like an intruder who sneaks into a forbidden sanctuary and dares to capture a glimpse of what is hidden there. This is essentially what I do - I capture a glimpse of a large unknown world which is so familiar during the daytime.
